An Insider's Guide to Victoria

Victoria.  The capital city of British Columbia is a destination for tourists from around the province and around the world, with more than 3.5 million visitors arriving each year. With our reputation for beautiful scenery and genteel English charm, it's easy to see why so many people come so far to have a relaxing holiday here. During the summer months, downtown Victoria is flooded with visitors from around the world.

Traveling on foot through the Inner Harbour is a great way to take in some of the sights that make Victoria famous. From the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival site you can see destinations like the Royal BC Museum, the BC Provincial Legislature, the Fairmont Empress Hotel and the new Robert Bateman Centre.  A short walk will take you through the historical areas of the old Fort Victoria, including Canada's oldest Chinatown.
